Happy to report, just got home from my second trip to the dealer and the tbs reflash fixed everything. Drives/steers like a dream. First trip to dealer I got laughed at and asked if I've ever driven a Wrangler before. I was also told they would not do the flash. So my next call was FCA, they called my dealer and thing I knew, my dealer was calling me "they would be more than happy to flash my Jeep".

Damn I didn't get that far. I need to try harder. Mine's been better since I got new tires, but still, I'd like it to be flashed if it needs it.

What's interesting is that the FLASH fixed it. Did they mess with your steering box or gear like shown in the videos here on this forum??? If not, I fear many people are adjusting their steering gearbox w/out getting the Flash first, which may leave them worse off.

Mine was flashed. Didn't make a damn bit of difference. I'm glad it fixed your problem though OP.

I can attest to this. Took my rubi in for esc light coming on, asked the advisor if he could perform the flash to fix the steering issue. I provided the TSB # as they didn’t really know what it was or at least they had to look into it. So giving them the TSB helped and now the steering is more tight and precise. Not that the dead zone bothered me in the first place, but now it’s primarily gone.

I would do the flash fix if you guys are at the dealership!

I gave them the TSB and they didn't do it. They "checked the steering" though, and said it was "all good". Doh! Now I have to go back and beg and plead I guess.. :(
