For those that have done a fender chop, What did you do with the exposed brackets? Leave them or cut them off? Do i need them if o end up going with an aftermarket fender?

also, is there a way to mask or get rid of the white fender clips? I think they look crappy from the pics i have seen out there. Not sure if there are replacement black ones out there. If so, can someone please provide a link? Thank you

For the exposed brackets if you watch @Tech Tim from @Northridge4x4 video on their joose giveaway jeep fender liner install, he mentions taking off a small portion of the front of it to make it more flush. I’ve also seen videos of dudes just yeeting it out of there.
As for the white clips I have no idea. My jeep is black so I’ve wondered the same thing because I plan to fender chop mine! I did think maybe rivnuts would work but with those notches in the fender for the clips I have no idea if that would work.

**EDIT: They do make different colored clips. I totally forgot I have black clips. You can get them on Amazon.

X2 on the replace the plastic clips with steel hardware. Use fender washers under the bolt head for a little more support on the flare.

I left the support brackets on and just painted them and the frame black. I also have the AAL retention hardware like @Terrymo
