im also in for this. i like overlanding and moderate trails. have hit one difficult so far. only running 33"s right now but just ordered my second rubicon axle in hopes to get it installing here in the next few weeks and move to 35's. something about having lockers will give me more peace of mind.

I am looking to start some overlanding as well as doing some trails like the Rubicon and the Moab favorites. So I am really up for most anything as we work through planning and identifying people to do some wheeling.

Anyone have done death valley trip in the spring?
I am planning on going this early spring for a 3 day weekend trip...possibly start Thursday late afternoon to get within an hour outside of death valley, camp overnight or hotel depending on GF, then hit some easy to medium trails then camp the rest of the time. plan on heading back on Sunday mid-day hopefully not have to deal with cajun pass traffic.

any suggestions or insights?

The California Four Wheel Drive Association has applied for a permit for a fund raising event of trail runs in Death Valley March 10-14, 2021. The event will consist of day runs only starting from Furnace Creek and Stovepipe Wells. Participants will be responsible for their own camping/lodging arrangements. We hope to have more information next week. Meanwhile SAVE THE DATE! Information and registration will be posted on the Cal4Wheel web site:

We're the same. Not interested in beating up the Jeep just for the sake of the thrill of beating up the Jeep! LOL. To each their own. We just like getting into the outdoors and into remote areas to do cool stuff!
Same here.
Cleghorn is fun. You can skip the hard stuff
I want to explore trails in Los Padres above Ojai.
Holcomb Valley Looks like it would be fun in the Snow.
Mengle Pass in Death Valley is amazing...
Lets go!

Probably not this weekend (I think I am doing Cleghorn Saturday) but other February weekends look good.

I don't think that Ojai is where you think it is.

Adrian, you must be thinking of Otay Mesa, which is on the U.S. - Mexico border. Ojai is in the mountains north of Ventura.

Anybody doing a run this weekend? I have a 3 day weekend, with Monday off, so I might be up for a trail trip somewhere.
