i have not. I need to get a winch and i would like to get 37s before running these two trials. my inexperience worries me to run it with 35's
Yeah those 2 are rough is what I am told. Youre probably smart waiting for your 37s. I am gonna give it a shot once I lock my rear axle and get 35s, sometime next year it looks like.

May 20 I went up with a friend who was in my old LJR and his buddy in a built XJ. We ran Gold Mountain first then started John Bull. We got about a mile past the gate keeper and my buddy with the LJR got tired of getting beat up and turtling so we turned around and hit Holcomb Creek. We got to the rough part and there were a couple JKUs just getting through with some help from a winch. Said they had been there for two hours. The XJ got hung up pretty bad and winched out. LJR didn't want to chance it and wanted to turn around. There was a line behind us so I didn't want to waste their time just to hit the obstacle and turn around to go back down.

The trails were no joke but my JLUR did great. Got hung up on the diff a couple times and finally dented up my Rockslide Engineering sliders but otherwise had no issues.

Looks like a fun time. Your 2nd pic is where I turned around on Gold Mountain. I was worried I wasn't going to make it with my 33s. Would like to go back and try again some day though.

A group of us were up there on Memorial weekend, we ran John Bull on Friday and Holcomb Creek on Saturday. The only spot we had trouble on was the middle rock garden on Holcomb, it was muddy and was hard to stick our lines, we kept sliding off the rocks. Luckily there was not much traffic on the trail so we didn’t hold anyone up while we stacked rocks and winched our way through. Here are a couple vids of our trip.

Got a wild hair this morning around 10 and decided to run Gold Mountain. Loaded an ice chest, topped off with fuel and was at the gatekeeper by noon. Had some steady light rain for about an hour towards the top of the mountain, but it had stopped by the time we got to the trail. No issues other than me making a rookie mistake and forgetting to take my trailer hitch off. Caused a bit of a struggle entering the second rock garden, but nothing that a little more speed didn’t take care of. All in all a good day even with the mud and wet rocks.

For those that have run all three, how would you rank these in order of difficulty? Like this?

Gold Mountain
Holcomb Creek
John Bull

I ran these trails not too long ago and would say from easiest to hardest Gold Mountain -> John Bull -> Holcomb Creek
My group consisted of JK's and JL's all on 35's, I was the only one running 37's, we only had issues on Holcomb Creek, the middle rock garden high centered everyone, lots rock stacking and winching to make it through. The video I posted doesn't show all the failed attempts in an effort to not bore everyone and keep the video at a reasonable length.

Thanks! One more question if you don't mind, would it be best to visit each of the three on three different days or are they short enough to combine two or all of them into one day?

I know people do run all three in one day but man that's a long day and if there is traffic or you get stuck you could be out there past dark. You could run Gold Mountain and John Bull in one day, I found Holcomb to be longer so we took a day to do it and just took our time.

I think that's the first waterfall. We had a stock willys 2 door do that trail. You can definitely make it through but dont go alone!

Could be the V-notch on the second waterfall. I dont remember. That obstacle is not easy and better for 4 doors, but there is a different line you can take with your 2 door. The first waterfall is cakewalk.
