OK do you have to be part of a certain organization (partner) to get the Tread Lightly discount when buying (ordering and buying) a new Jeep? I don't know if I saw something about that. Or is that a different discount program for FCA? I am a Civil Service employee for the US Air Force.

Afaik, you just have to be a Tread Lightly member at the $100 level (or higher) for at least 30 days.

No, you just pay the $100 and wait 30 days. Anyone can join. Other affiliate programs, however, have membership requirements.

Sounds pretty catchy. From what I have understood you can get a discount on your new purchases, which is a good thing from my perspective. Anyway, you have to be very careful before getting any deals. I recently read an article on https://www.natlawreview.com/article/7-finrasec-wells-notice-step-step-response-strategies about fraud investigations. It made me realize that nowadays, there are many scams in the financial industry. Just make sure that you do not fall into a sham scheme. Wish you guys a wonderful day.

How would you really know? Since several of these Jeepers have bought and received their vehicles, and reported and are included on this spreadsheet, can't we assume a good deal was made? Do we have to become attorneys to buy a car? Ugh, I hope not.

This makes me very happy. The best deal I could work when I ordered was msrp. Thankfully my dealer participates in the tread lightly program.

Yes, I'm getting only MSRP at this point too. ugh.

I got 6% under invoice. You have to be a TL member to get it so I joined and they quoted me the discounted price. The salesman said as long as I have my membership letter when I come to pick it up it's all good.

I ordered it yesterday from CMA Valley CDJR in VA. I had another dealer close by quote me 9% under MSRP as well.

I wonder if the east coast is just giving better deals fro some reason. My Autoland dealer told me they used to work under invoice but can't now, which I think is bs. I've put in a call to the only dealer listed in the Los Angeles area (Irvine) listed on the spreadsheet, also one that ppl seems to be getting good deals from in Tennessee. I't s scary for me not only to use a dealer I don't k ow, but esp one from out of state. And doing this as a woman alone! They see me coming!

Haven't seen any discounts around LA but if you are up for a drive, Rob at tuttle click in Irvine can get you a discount with tread lightly and I also got below 1% below invoice in San Diego from Mike Wilder.

Yes youre echoing what @Ratbert has said. I called and talked to RON at Tuttle in Irvine and he offered me a substantial deal. So now I just need to wait to see what my trading-in is worth before I can crunch some numbers. I am so close it may not happen. I may force it.

I ordered a Willy's Sport XR. I joined TL the day before I ordered and was told as long as I have the membership letter when I show up to pick up the Jeep they will honor it. In order to get the 6% their stipulation was that you join TL.

Before you trade, look into what somewhere like CarMax will give you and what it's worth in a private sale. Trading in is easier but the value will almost always be lower in a trade. I'm going to put my '18 JLU up for sale in the next couple of months for the down payment on the new one. If all goes well I'll be able to pay off the remaining loan in a year or less.
