Build and trip log for our 2018 JLUR in Anchorage, AK
Current photo of the jeep with Evo 3.5” Stage II Enforcer Lift, 37” x 12.5” Cooper STT Pros on KMC RG231 Beadlocks:
Background: My first vehicle at 16 years old was a rusted out CJ-7. I’d take all kinds of things apart on it and many times my dad would have to come fix and help put the parts back together again but I always enjoyed trying to fix things on my own. Since then I’ve owned (2) YJs, a CJ-5, and a TJ.
Back in 2003, my TJ met its demise:
Skip to 3:30 to see the exciting part:
Needless to say, my wife was less than thrilled and I was banned from 4x4s for a few years. I finally bought a ’74 early bronco (wish I still had it) then a ’97 land cruiser that I owned until ordering and receiving the 2018 JLUR in July of ’18:
It's a sting-gray JLUR with manual transmission and of course the cold weather package...
More to come bringing the build up to present day...
