About to pull the trigger on a MC lift kit and thinking of going for a set of Falcon 3.1 or 3.3
Anyone running these shocks? Are they worth the upgrade over the 2.1 shocks.
Looking for some input

They are definitely worth the upgrade for longevity and the 3.3 for adjustability. Having the knob on there guarantees that the shock will ride and feel exactly how you want it to, in the specific use you are putting it through.

If you are only on-road, reservoirs are not really necessary though. That is, unless your local roads are filled with pot holes and washboards as if it were the Mexican Baja!

Feel free to shoot me a PM if you are interested in forum pricing.

I’d see what boys at MC said, spring rate and dampening is a science... if not valved properly, you wont be getting the best ride. Metal cloaks can ride a bit stiff, if you have wrong shocks and e rated tires.

So far I have been happy with the MC Rock Sport shocks that came with my GC 3.5" kit. It's only $200 more for them vs a no shock kit, probably worth giving them a shot before dropping $1500 on a set of the falcon shocks. Unless you just have the extra money. I have been considering the same thing but I just can't imagine them riding $1,500 better.

How are the MC shocks compared to the stock ones?
Did you upgrade the driveshaft with a MC one as well or with a different vendor?

The only real change I observed going from my Mopar 2" lift to the Rock Sport shocks was a little more leaning in corners. I only ran stock shocks for like a week so I can't recall how they felt. I have not replaced the drive shaft yet, I have wheeled with it and not had a issue yet other than a little contact on a cross member but no damage. I plan to order a Adam's drive shaft in the near future.

Dam it would be nice if teraflex would just borrow a set of Falcon shocks to try out. I think the rocksports are a little soft on the road as well. I did change my drivshaft out with a Adams shaft

I installed the 3.3's on my wife's JL with the Rock Krawler Flex (have the other control arms, just need to install them). Great shocks. Very little body roll and the adjustability is great. If you are sold on the Falcon's, it's a no-brainer to go to the 3.3, in my opinion.

I run the Falcon 2.1s with my MC 3.5 and they are excellent.

I just ordered some 2.1 with the Teraflex 2.5" ST kit. No need for reservoir shocks for me. That said, and no offense to TF, they are a great company with great products, if I was going to lay down some serious cash for expensive high performance shocks, I'd go Kings all day long.

I'd run the Rocksports with MC springs. MC has them tuned for their springs. Otherwise it will be hit or miss with other shocks.

All that said, ride comfort, which is a combination of springs and shocks, is subjective.

I have Metalcloak control arms / track bars with the Mopar Springs / Shocks.

Just ordered MC 3.5" Springs, and I can't decide on 6-Pak, Falcon, or leaving my Mopar shocks on..
- Already have Adam's Drive Shaft

Any input?

Love em. They're mated with probably the most Frankenstein lift on this website .Falcon 3.3, Mopar bump stops and springs, Rancho Mopar spring pads, metalcloak track bars and front LCAs. Rides great and wow is the adjustability incredible. Setting 1 makes you feel like your driving a sail boat on the highway in rough winds while setting 3 tightens it up to a frieght trail on rails. Very happy with them.

My only question is if I want to complete the metalcloak arms setup and get the two rear and upper front arms. $865 isn't chump change but it would be nice to have. Will I see a big difference? It already flexes out like crazy
