I wonder if it is indeed a one-piece shaft or is it the FAD delete kit that has a very heavy-duty collar connecting both shafts.

I have auto 4wd and a FAD.
The FAD is removed with the 4AUTO option where you do not have a 2H option.

You likely have a 2H option.

The answer should be clarified like this.

I was under the impression only 392s are like that. This person has the 3.6, 4 auto and no FAD. I have a 2.0, 4 auto and a FAD.

Eventually you will grow to hate your auto transfercase , unless you never use your Jeep off road .
Absofuckinglutely. I hate the thing. I've had "serv4wd" throwing tcase codes for over 2 years when I offroad.
