Factory height differences

I didn't realize how much of an impact those fender flares have. I NEED them...

And best of all you can split those fenders and gain even more room, and when done properly they look badass!

@Headbarcode Do you happen to know the spring part numbers for the Rubi with all those options. All the take offs seem all the same.

I ordered my Jeep with all of those options and the front coils part numbers ended with 91 on the driver side and 92 on the passenger side and rears had 61/62 respectively.

Yeah, chopping the factory front fenders gains about 3.5" of uptravel clearance, and about 2.5" on the rears.

Still learning a lot about the Wrangler world I jumped into and have been looking for take off parts to save some cash modding my used 2020JLUS. I was considering a Rubicon takeoff suspension but maybe that’s not what I’m looking for after reading this. I have a 8 year 100k mile warranty on this vehicle and don’t want to screw that up. If I understand the Rubcon takeoff will lift my JLUS about 1.5” but the Mopar lift will give 3-4”? Just had 33s added and some initial articulation testing shows I may rub a bit.

I still think that Rubicon take-offs are a decent option if you want a mild lift. I paid $200 for a complete setup and just checked the local FB marketplace and there are 2 setups for sale within 30 miles of me for under $200. The springs and shocks are the most important part....they often have factory control arms and swaybar links but they are same part. Really doubt a dealer would give you any grief if it has factory components on it. When I bought the Rubicon stuff was brand new to the JL world and wasn't aware of all the different part numbers and stuff either. I do know the JL they came off of had a hardtop but not sure of the engine or bumper situation. I do know it lifted a soft top 3.6L Sport 4 door right at the 1"-1.5" height. I think it looks good on Rubicon take off tires and wheels also. Perfect for what the owner of this JL wanted and pretty cheap. Cost $1,200 total and took me 2 hours to do the install. Would have cost more than that just to have new tires installed (they bought this JL used and it was ready for a new tires). Below is a picture stock vs. Rubicon take-offs.

No obvious change. Not a lot of seat time in this since it's not mine, but drive it a little before and after and seems about the same. The owner said they didn't notice any change in ride quality or overall handling.

Yes, the Rubi flare “optical” lift is real. Same suspension and tires in both pics below. Finding the right color however, not so easy!

Yes, the rears are wider, taller, and longer. I actually ran the Rubi fronts and Sahara rears while I was waiting for my close out panels to come in. It wasn’t terribly noticeable to the casual observer (i.e., the wife). . .

I kinda like it! Baja feel like the front is raised
