Been a couple of years since I have raised this question. We off road at night with NVGs and I need a way to wire a kill switch to kill all exterior running lights. As a bonus I'd be happy to kill the dash lights too. Without this, brake lights blind the vehicles behind you. Also, turning the headlights to Off increases the screen brightness to an annoyingly high level (we have to use covers over the dash).

The Tazer isn't an option. A 5mph limiter doesn't work, it needs to be 15-20+. I'd like to be able to set this up to a rocker switch on my panels in the cockpit.

Has anyone come up with a wiring solution to do this?

No, that kills the headlights only. The point is to turn off brakes so that you don't blind the person behind you. Imagine getting high beams in your eyes from 25yds away when someone taps their brakes.

Also, turning off the headlights jacks the display brightness to max because the Jeep thinks it's daylight time.

On a serious note, back in the good old days we used to just drop the windshields for blackout patrols. NVGs were trash back then, and getting the glass out of your line of sight worked brilliantly.

We put swim caps over my buddy's tj, they work great. The JLs don't have tail lights that make it easy to do. The current NVGs are so sensitive that light bloom can be pretty frustrating to drive behind.

Probably the cheaper option is to fit some kydex covers over the lights that attach with Velcro. But it would be really sweet to be able to not have to stop between trails/road adjust them.

Or see if I can find the wire tied to the brake pedal which turns on the indicator lights to run a switch off of it.
