Tried to search the forum but couldn’t find any help. I installed my rigid D-SS pro side shooter lights a couple months ago but never really got to use them for more than 5 minutes continuously until I went camping last week.

To my surprise after a couple of minutes the lights would just shut off and and then back on whenever they please. No battery issues or anything so I’m confused why this would be happening.

I have them wired up to aux switch 3 which I assumed would be plenty of power. What do you guys think is going on? Usually always works when I turn them on so I was very disappointed. Also it was raining a bit but that shouldn’t effect performance in mymind.
I have attached some photos of how I wired them and install.

I have the same lights on Aux 3 and do not have any problem.

I did not use the Rigid Harness.

I made my own harness and wired them directly to the Aux 3 wire, without any relay.

Good Luck !

In your first and second images it shows two cut wires that aren’t insulated - it’s possible that these are arcing and causing a short. I’d be putting a small piece of electrical tape over each of those to eliminate that possibility.

If you were driving over a rough surface it also raises the possibility of a loose connection somewhere - double check your connectors and ground.
