Told you I'd forget haha. The 1st pic is the bolt lights I added, tops is white for license and bottom is amber. I don't like the fact that I'll have to cut the wires when I get a new plate though. 2nd is the 4 pin connector I added. I really am only using 3 but I went with the 4 if I want to make the amber lights flash in the future. 3rd pic is a top view showing the allen screws and the back of the camera.

I like the setup and the wiring connector. Where did you source the bolt lights? I have a single bolt light with the Artec license plate relocation but it is about as bright as a kids birthday candle.

Like I said, I have the JCR License plate kit, it came with the bumper, but without the tire carrier, their solution is to hacksaw off the camera tube from the stock wheel carrier piece. That prospect worries me if I ever wanted/need to go back to stock, that's why I'm looking to buy that plate from someone that removed theirs.

This is what I ran in for them

I'm on the fence about selling my carrier, right now it's just taking up space along with everything else I took off.

Thanks for the Amazon links, I just went and purchased the lights. I too had used wiring connectors so that the spare can be removed easily.

I understand about being on the fence. If you do change your your mind, let me know what you'd want for it. I'd also pay for shipping.

Thanks

Bob

You can split the camera from the rest of the harness and run it down behind the passenger taillight then back up along your swing out tire carrier. I've been running it this way for a while. Hardest part is taking the "tape" off the bundle of wires.

Where did you come out of the Jeep once behind the passenger taillight? I've taken the taillight off and can't find a way out of the bottom of that compartment. Is there a grommet I'm missing somewhere perhaps? A picture of that would help if you have one.

I don't have the link here at work, but if you search youtube for the JCR JL tire carrier install video, there is a portion in there where they cover ways to get out of the compartment.

I can take a picture when i get to the shop where my Jeep is sitting. I quickly looked under my wife's and I could see a couple places to come through under the body. One is right along the edge of tub where it curves and then there is a hole in the center. When i did this a while back, i put a flashlight in the removed headlight hole and just looked up from underneath the Jeep for the light.
