2022 392 on 37s. When I jump on it from a stop it revs then hesitates and backfires. It does not do this everytime. About 90 percent of the time. Bought jeep with 2k on it has 7k on it now. Other than that it runs strong

If it's out of warranty, you might think about having a custom tuner look at it. It could be something as simple as a lean section of the factory tune, or a restricted injector. There are injector cleaning and flow testing shops that can test the injectors.

I just bought it in August. It has all the warranty left on it. Oh I am also running a tazer on it. Had to get it out of full-time four wheel drive. So I might pull that out and see what happens.

If you are in warranty, end of discussion.

The Tazer doesn’t effect the PCM, so it’s not a good candidate. Warranty time, you want the problem registered with Jeep anyway, and keep a copy. My Bronco had an intermittent issue that always “can not duplicate” until my first visit after warranty expiration when they somehow found, repaired, and charged me. I presented previous WO’s “reported during the warranty period” NC, but it should have been in their computer without me having to show the evidence.

I had one that did the exact same thing, you aren't going to like my scenario. Somehow had low compression in one cylinder, Found a hole is the top of the piston just a pinhole I think it was crappy manufacturing. I hope its nothing like that but a compression test is easy and will answer a lot of questions. Then go after injection system, etc.

Well I hope it nothing like that. But I have a kick ass warranty. Heck it even has rental car built into it. So I am scheduling now for an appointment.

Yeah, that's a hell of a lot faster than compression test. But if you are still having issues, compression test. I would rev it up get the R's up and dump the clutch and it popped bad and then eventually got up the speed and I kept thinking carb. Went through 3.

let us know!
I will once I find out. Forgot to mention. It doesn't do it if I have the performance exhuast off. It's almost like the muffler can't handle the pressure. But it is going in next week.

Make sure you pull the Tazer. Its easy. No reason to give the dealer a reason to decline any repair.

Last time I had mine in for service, I forgot to pull the tazer. When I was checking out the service manager came out and mentioned the Tazer. I just looked him and smiled and said then get rid of ESS. He smiled and said "Have a Great day"
