ESS defeated?

Question if it really solves the problem, but can't get to my JL for five days to check it out. Anybody got the time to see if it works?

Nope, doesn't work. Tried it when I brought my wife's jeep home from the dealer. Not sure what it's supposed to do but it isn't the cure for ESS syndrome.

Mine has been set at +10min since day one and no effect.

Thanks guys ... appreciate the quick checking/feedback. Don't have access to my, Jeep nor the manual, until the middle of next week.

And, here I thought that everything posted on Youtube was the absolute, honest truth ... how upsetting!

Maybe he is a Jeep software engineer.

It would be cool to have a setting that allows you to change the timing before ESS kicks in, instant, 5 seconds, 15 seconds, 30 seconds, never.

Then the ESS wouldn’t kick in for those quick stops at stop signs or parking lots.

Most owners can manage the ESS by applying light brake pressure. There are other ways to defeat it including this new gadget from another thread.

Could be a jeep engineer, the one they have working on my ESS cant figure out why mine isnt working. I thought it was some stupid sensor but there is a short somewhere and the codes dont say where. Looks like they have to tear into everything to find it. nice.
