Started having problems with the ESS and auxiliary battery. I've replaced both batteries, tried the aux negative battery cable and F42 fuse but it keeps intermittently having multiple failures at the same time. ABS, traction control, sway bar all alert and it says to service the shifter and it won't shift into gear. We're new to the Jeep family and would love to be able to solve this issue ourselves. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

No unfortunately not.
@alphawolff might have some ideas (I'm no expert at all), but I'm thinking you need to see if a friend has a code reader or buy one yourself. That's assuming it's immovable since it won't shift into gear...meaning you can't take it to a local parts store that'd do it for free.

you'll need to scan it and see what's up. 2018/2019? might be the can bus connectors behind the glove box

Just had a similar problem. All kinds of warning lights and some times the alternator would charge and others times it would not charge ESS, shift warning. It ended up being the negative battery sensor.

It sounds more like a connector than bad batteries my friend.

You could have damaged a fuse on the high amp fuse array.

Also, the star connector for the CANbus is also notorious for such symptoms.

If you replaced the aux battery by pulling the fuse box/PDC, you could have bent some pins.

Since you replaced the aux battery why are you pulling fuse 42, and disconnecting the aux ground?

I disconnected the negative and pulled the fuse as that is the bypass for the ESS system. I have read that most of the time it is a bad aux battery but since that is replaced I tried the bypass and it still didn't work.

WTH does that do, sense voltage or?

@Frisk0827 Remove ESS battery, pull F42 fuse, disconnected cable on ESS get all insulated and taped up...enjoy.
Yes.

The Battery Sensor - Mopar (68289207AC) is an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS) that continuously monitors your 12-volt battery's voltage, current flow, and temperature. It sends this real-time data to your vehicle's engine control module to regulate the alternator's charging rate, optimize fuel efficiency, and ensure stop-start systems function safely.
