Hey Friends,
I have researched (i thought) this issue to death because I wanted to completely remove the Aux battery and ESS system. But I removed my auxiliary battery and accidentally arced it on the frame. both hot leads still attached and accidentally touch pos and neg to metal frame. (big pop, blue light zap! scare crap out of me!)
Now with fuse 42 pulled and both negatives taped kept getting A! warning light and now it is giving me "Auto park disabled" warning and "service air bag" warning and "Stop start not available" and so I replaced the fuse array bar that connects n1 n2 n3 etc. No change then i put a new WEIZE H7 AGM battery, (mine came with H6) and everything worked (no warning lights) for an entire day of driving. Then the next day all warning lights every day for the next 5 days.
Could I be looking at an issue with my Alternator?
Or did i blow something else when I arched the Auxiliary battery on the frame?
I am desperate and I am about to just give up..... I really want to yank all the ESS crap out including relays and switches but who knows what else that will affect!!!
I am at the point of getting new Auxiliary battery and reinstalling everything to see if i can fix back to original state.
Please Help

With the oux battery removed the only thing you should have on the dash maybe is the A symbol indicating start/stop disabled. When I did mine even though I pulled fuse 42 it took a while for the light to go out.

Anything else is a separate issue that could be tied to what happened. And putting a new aux battery in isn't going to solve those other lissues/ights.

Try removing the positive and negative cable on the main battery without touching any metal. Wait 5-minutes and reconnect.

Which method did you use to remove the aux battery?

Also, ESS is a programmed function, removing the aux wont make it go away. You will need some sort of device to do that such as a stop/start eliminator or a Tazer Mini.

So you are saying if I hook the Auxiliary battery back up and pull the 42 fuse first is all I do... You don't thing it has anything to do with the Aux battery arching +- on the frame might have shorted out PCR?
