Different brand overhead rack, but same idea.

Mobile radio hand mike, sunglass cases, anniversary gift, throwdown duck, bungee web for ball cap. The leatherman is a great idea. Gonna add that.

I thought about moving my Element to that exact spot from on the roll cage above the driver door. I decided to leave it because I wanted quick access from both inside and outside with door open or window down. Was looking for a picture of the mount but can’t find. Will capture and post.

Works well enough. Sometimes takes a minute sending/receiving a msg and I'm sure it would work better on the other side of the metal but I'm happy having it where it is.

thanks for all the replies. it's kind of cool seeing other peoples setups.
I don't feel cramped in my Wrangler, but I'm coming from four door ram 1500, the whole family doesn't get in at the same time I'm usually just driving one other family member around, I'm missing a lot of console space and cup holders where I used to throw crap. so I'll definitely have stuff to put up there out of the way.
My handhelds are going to go up there, sunglasses, Leatherman, probably flashlight, ChapStick tic tacs.
