I have a friend who owns a trucking company. I'm seriously considering rounding up 5 others and hiring him to go get our Jeeps and take them to Guptons.

I want my $1545 back from FCA tho.

How you think that will play out?

I´m a teacher as my main profession (do various other things as well). I literally just told someone I was thinking about bumping up my CDL´s to a class A so I could go pick my jeep up and spend the summer running jeeps from Ohio to Tennessee lol.

You could take bourbon or jelly shipments north to Ohio and then haul Jeeps south to Tennessee. Sounds like money to me.

It's not even about "instant" gratification. If I knew the 12 week period was rea, I'd be ok with waiting 3 months. But the more I see here, the more it looks like it will be 3 times as long, and I do need the jeep by September when I give my current ride to my son. It would be nice to have it by summer, but I could live with getting it by the end of summer. If I wait and I'm sitting in a lot somewhere in August, I will be screwed and have to impulse by to have a car in time and who knows how prices will be then.

I said this in another thread but don’t overthink what you are seeing on here by a very vocal “few” as the “norm”. As many people that are stuck in shipping or building hell, you have just as many, if not more, who have gotten their jeep in a “normal” timeframe. There are certainly issues with building and delivery, but its not as crazy as it seems for most people.

It’s like that in any forum or social media group, you get a seemingly huge number of problems because generally speaking if you have an issue you tell anyone who will listen, if you don’t, most people say nothing. I‘d say 12 weeks from ordering would be a very normal timeframe.

My dealer quoted us "6 - 12 weeks" when we ordered on 12/4... I assumed 12+ weeks, but my wife is getting seriously ticked, mainly because we have been in "waiting to be shipped" (KZS) status for 55+ days...

I ordered on 11-5-21 . It was officially built
On 2-27-22 . Sounds like a long time , but when consider that they didn't start production untill 12-6-21 , or therabouts .
When you think about it that is around 12 weeks . Not so bad , now comes shipping . I called jeep cares yesterday and they said to call back on Mondays because updates happen over the weekend and it takes two weeks after factory releases it to shipping before
Any movement .

I'm out enjoying my 2022 because I said screw the random build times and went and found one in January. Dealer couldn't promise one before summer. Hope they start shipping faster for you guys!

Some version of this should be a sticky on top of every forum across the interwebs, and at the top of retailer product review pages, Google and Yelp review pages, etcetera.

I might be one of the rare birds on here who wants my build and delivery to take as long as possible.

My current vehicle is leased. I’ll easily make money by trading it in, but I really want to keep it AND the Jeep. The closer I get to lease turn in, the higher my chances of convincing the wife to keep both.

i still check cryptostickers multiple times per week for updates though. ?

After reading all these posts, I'm seriously considering just settling for what's on a lot. The dealer told me 12 weeks but I guess that won't be the half of it.

That's what my dealer told me in February of 2021. 5 weeks later I was driving it home.

Of course a year ago we didn't have the computer chip issue as well as the new Grand Cherokee's and Wagoneer's using those chips up.

Transportation from the shipping yards may have been slightly smoother too but it still was an unknown. Even then nobody seemed to have a clue how long exactly it would take to arrive.

I'm the type though who's willing to wait for the exact Wrangler I feel I need. If I was able to find one on the lot with every option, including color, I want, all is good.

Compromising just to get a Wrangler in my garage would be exciting, for maybe a month. Then I would be second guessing my decision every time I drove it. No worth it to me.
