Stellantis literally detunes the v6 in order for the clutch to survive, but I'm sure diesel torque will be fine? It's not like there aren't numerous examples of them exploding and catching fire behind the lowest powered option available...
There are other companies out there who make clutches. Kinda like when the stock 3500 dodge clutch and 2 piece fly wheel shit the bed you replace it with a southbend clutch. I'm not worried about swapping the clutch out had plans on that already. But thank you for bringing your knowledge of a well known problem to the table we will mark you down as the 1st why would do that person.

Call me crazy, but I'd venture anyone who is thinking about doing an engine swap has already ditched the craptastic liability that is the OEM clutch?
Not only that but transmission torque ratings are kind of bullshit anyway. I mean hell I remember guys supercharging mustangs with the tremec 3650 and running double or more the supposed rated torque capacity of those transmissions and they were fine.

What an oem rates things for and what they're actually good for can be two totally different things sometimes.

And the problem with the manual jl's isn't the transmission but the clutch. ACT makes a clutch that will hold diesel torque no problem.

Like with any other modern swap your biggest problem is going to be electronics, hell getting an engine to bolt up to a transmission and all that stuff that's the easy part really.

I can tell you right now you're going to want a bigger radiator. The radiator for a 3.6 is already struggling. Some of that is the grill opening though and at minimum what you're going to want to do is swap in one of the newer high flow grills. The JT grills flow more air as do the newer 2024 and up style. You're definitely going to need better cooling.

There are quite a few places that make the clutch needed to hold the torque. And like said they under rate everything to take away liability. Just like the tow rating it may say 3k but I know for a fact I've seen jeeps pull way more then 3k

And it's answers like this that I am looking for everyone on here with the exception of keyboard hero, has given me really sound advice. The wiring issue I believe I may have found there are a few places thay can make a custom harness for you. One is a JDM based shop bit will make any harness you need. Thank you the advice

The trans isn't much better than the clutch, but go right ahead. You can always swap in a better trans after that one's short life behind a diesel.
