It looks like you're in New Hampshire. If so, you may want to consider the Grizzl-E, which is around the same price as the Emporia. Admittedly it has no "smart" features, but it is incredibly weather resistant/weather proof. If there's a chance you might be installing the EVSE outside or even just parking outside, I'd definitely recommend the Grizzl-E for the NH winters.Appears to be a nice charger for the cost ($399 for 40A). Spec's look good. Does anyone have real-world experience with this unit?
The other unit I'm seriously considering is the Autel Maxi Charger.
Grizzl-E was also on the short list but this unit will go in the garage so the extra weatherproofing is not a primary factor. If it was, I would have gone with the Smart. It looks like you're in New Hampshire. If so, you may want to consider the Grizzl-E, which is around the same price as the Emporia. All this said, the Emporia is a great EVSE and one of the highest rated on State of Charge. You certainly couldn't go wrong with it. And if you're really into keeping track of and analyzing your electric usage, Emporia has a whole universe of smart energy monitoring tools.
Can you can the charging level (amps) using the app? If I'm charging overnight, I would prefer to have the ability to reduce the charging level from 32A to 16A or less without having to use my level 1 charger.I installed the Emporia L2 charger at home and it works great. all the 'smart' charger capabilities you want/need.
So, I just checked the app and it doesn’t look like it but it’s also not in use at the moment. When I plug the 4xe in again tomorrow I’ll see if I have that option. Can you can the charging level (amps) using the app?
