Any recommendations? Models to avoid? Something compact & light for a 2 door but able to deal with "average" size ponderosa pine etc

Have a dc power outlet in rear for the dometic, and jackery 1k if needed

Usually there are multiple trees to deal with, how many batteries do you bring?

I carry an Ego 16” saw. I carry it for the obvious. I also used to fill the back of my 1 ton with 6 - 6.ft pine logs. Cut them up to desireable lenght befor splitting them. I took two batteries. Used one up and just a little of the second. They will recharge from zero to full in about an hour.

I keep a branch lopper and a el cheapo Home Depot Ryobi electric saw with a 10inch bar in the trunk when I go offroading. Never had an issue with the Ryobi and it keeps on ticking
