It would be helpful if you clarify the original post to indicate if we’re discussing parking spaces marked EV or charging spaces.

There’s a big difference in my mind. One is infrastructure that EV’s require. I don’t want to find a Tesla parked at the gas pumps when I wheel in to refuel. And I’m not gonna park in a charging space.

The other is divisive posturing by parking providers to separate us from our betters. I wouldn’t piss on those providers if they were on fire. If I were driving an EV, I wouldn’t even park there. That’s just asking to get your vehicle messed with. Just like the people that park their car across two spaces to show how special they are.

The first and only time a friend let his wife drive his show condition C10 Chevy PU (37 coats of black lacquer etc) because her car wouldn’t start she parked it at the far end of the lot under a large tree so it would be in the shade. A huge limb fell on it crushing the entire front end! The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Well I recant my statement. Preferred parking just cause you have an EV is dumb. If there ain’t a charging station there, fair game.
