Just for everyone's edification. Went to to dealership to ensure that after the gearbox change that they updated the software per the TBS. They claim that they had but there was a new update available. I told them to update. They wanted over a $100 to update. I asked what was the difference in the software and they told me it corrected much of the steering that the older one should have. So, I told the manager, you want me to pay over $100.00 for something that Jeep should have fixed in the previous software? Got it free.

I had the cast iron steering box and updates put in about a year ago
Do you have the TBS number or any info on it
I would like to Know if mine has the latest update
My problem from day one was the surging when turning and low speed

My CI replacement did not remove the quirky steering of the electric PS, however, the dealer adjusted toe in almost to an extreme, making it tiring to drive while constantly correcting it. How is yours doing now with the new software update?

The dealer can tell you. I didn't get a new number.

Slightly better than before. Once the fluid heats up, it drives better.

I have a lot of upgrades to the front end put the biggest difference is when I installed the steer smart sector shaft brace
It eliminated all the play and wondering in the steering
Put you also have to ether have at least 1in. bump stops or use the Synergy track bar that has been bent to clear a sector shaft brace
The factory and others will hit the bearing support on the sector brace when the front right suspension is completely compressed without one of the two upgrades
I highly recommend a sector shaft brace

May want to have caster angle checked.

I did, when I traded on the 392 The entire reason I had the switch done, was for a new owner once I traded, and I knew the warranty would be expired. Hopefully that same dealer finished what they started with it.
