2021 Willys , our steering pump failed due to incorrect installation at the factory of the wiring harness plug , has anyone else had this happen ( Australian spec Jeep )

Yes my power steering failed, I ordered a new and started getting ready for the install and found the wiring harness on the power steering pump was not plugged in all the way. I plugged it in and all was good. There have been other reports about this.

I couldn't hear it in the video, but if there's a sliding red switch on that connector, there should be an audible and tactile <snap> when it's properly engaged (i.e., locked). That's only possible when the connector itself is fully seated.

Correct, I could not do it while holding the camera. But yes It does snap.

Update Issue not resolved, Jeep sat at dealers for Six weeks now, waiting on wiring harness, possibly arriving early January. This is pathetic Jeep Australia,
