I wanted to give a shout on to the Craig and the folks at Koons for the easiest buying experience I have ever had with a new vehicle.
My time line:
Some day, I will goto Jeep.com, pick our options, and be done with it. Until then, Koons is my next best option.
My time line:
- April 8 - initial email
- April 10 - confirmed price for specific features
- April 12 - ordered and placed $1000 down payment
- May 4 - notified vehicle was in transit.
- May 5 - delivered to Koons
- May 10 - pick up
- Good customer service is still rare and I think it is very important to call out a great experience when you find one. It really is a rare today. This is a focus with my own business.
- As much as I liked the Koons/Craig experience, it is just ridiculous that I had to make a 500 mile round trip on a nearly $50k purchase to be taken seriously. I talked to quite a few local dealers (April 10-12) and the only one even close wanted $700 over invoice (another wanted $3K over MSRP….I guess I looked like a sucker that day).

Flew out of San Diego with the wife. Spent the weekend in Vegas.
Uber drive out to Dealership was ~$30. Picked up on Monday to drive home. Great experience
