Easy Amp Add Question

Sorry, I know this has been asked before but the previous threads all go off onto tangents and I get lost.

Very simply, I have a Sport S with the basic 7" uconnect (non Alpine, but I've upgraded all the speakers) I want to add an amp that I can plug n play and hide behind the glove box and be done in a few hours. I'm good at working on cars but I'm no audio geek, just a simple: buy this, plug it in there, attach it behind the glove box, or somewhere else, and this will work.

Thanks. Sorry to ask to dumb it down. I'm thinking just buying the Alpine KTP-445U Power Pack is the right choice?

The Alpine KTP-445U is a very simple amp to add to your 7" basic system- just did mine a few weeks ago (here's a thread describing a couple of harnesses you can purchase which will make the install pretty much plug-n-play... https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/plug-and-play-amp-upgrade-to-basic-system.51309/).

A few people have gone this route and have the KTP successfully installed in their Jeep.

The Alpine KTP-445U is the same power pack used in the Alpine PSS-23WRA upgrade kit. The harness and wires listed in the thread @Varilux linked make it an easy install with noticeable improvement.

Next jeep I will just pay the extra and get the upgraded factory sound package. The basic sound package in my Cherokee really sucks. Music above medium loud sounds terrible. I looked into a simple upgrade but it is not like the old days where it fairly simple to upgrade to quality 3rd party sound at a reasonable cost. I don't need road shaking sound, just nice clear undistributed sound.

I mostly listen to podcasts and audio books because music sounds so bad.
