Just ordered these, has anyone on here experienced any blue or purple hue or anything on the cut off line?
On mine, the halo will illuminate blue for a second or two upon start up (turning on) but fades to bright white shortly after and says white until turned off.

Same. It’s a pretty cool effect I think, and fairly subtle (as far as mods go).

has anyone installed that little crimp wire to their daytime running lights yet? And where does the black wire go? Zero instructions of course.

I tried wiring to my daytime running lights and it shorted them out. I tried both sides. Ended up getting the add a fuse adapter. The really thin black wire wires to the turn signal wires in the fenders if you want to use them. I believe there is a video on page 1 or 2 that shows it.

wow!! I don’t want to short the drls out. What “add a fuse adapter” did you use? Link? Curious why it would work with one and not without.

Just wanted to follow up after I got mine installed. First....love them!!! Great output!!! However, I did run the very thin white Halo wire to the fusebox, and used a fuse-tap to plug into an unused seat warmer slot. The halos worked great for a couple weeks, then went on a trail ride, then they become very intermittent - to now not working. They still come on with the headlights.....but I no longer have halos during the day when headlights are not needed. I don't know if it's a short, bad fuse, etc. Just haven't had the time to investigate, and I may not. As long as they work with the overall headlight function, then I'm perfectly fine with it.

UPDATE - finally got around to checking it out and it was the inline fuse. There was a poor connection on one of the blades, keeping the fuse from making contact. I inserted the tip of a knife in there to compress the metal. Still not the best connection, but halos are working again.

Following up after running them for a few months. So far after running to the fuse box I have had no issues with these at all. Before I did the high beams caused the whole light to cut out but came back on after I switched back to low. I haven’t had any issues since wiring it to the fuse box. No moisture either and that’s after washing about once a week. So far these are holding up just as the factory led lights.

I've had the DV8s for a few months and really like them. I do want to activate the DRL halos and am thinking about going this route Instead of tapping into the green and white wires under the fender. Which fuse to I tap into?

Has anyone gone with the green & white wire procedure? Also the crappy instructions here show a connection to an orange an yellow wires as well, but it's unclear why one would want to do this?

After reading these instructions for the 10th time I think it finally understand:

The bare wires clip into the green and white wire under the fenders to get the halos to illuminate in amber as turn signals.

The harness can be wired to orange and yellow on Drivers side to get power for the halos so they work as DRLs. Altenatively they can be wired to the fuse box (#58) with one of these:

Just curious, I looked at the diagram and 58 is the passenger heated seats. Why that circuit?
It’s a fuse that’s only hot when the ignition is on, plus many don’t have heated seats, so it’s available for a lot of people. If you do have heated seats, you can just use a fuse tap so the spot powers both the halos and heated seats

Just an FYI......that fuse tap won't fit. You need one for the micro fuses. Found out from experience after ordering that same one.

Crazy to me that you all will try to save a few bucks buying a chinese knockoff instead of the OEM version. Spending $40K+ for a Jeep, then cheaping out on the headlights? SMH.
