I had a similar experience. The el cheapo amazon quality ones were junk. Kikbax are in my future. My sister had those Barricade mirrors. They folded back when a truck passed or if she went over 70. Didn't matter how tight you tuned the nut, short of breaking. She bought a set of KixBax after she saw mine.
Those are sharp!I use and recommend the Lange Coyote mirrors. They're well-regarded on this forum, and I can vouch for their quality.
I had intended to purchase the Carolina Metal Masters mirrors, but my pre-purchase inquiries (regarding the mirrors and an unrelated RAM mount) went unanswered. No replies to my voicemails or emails, so I consider the brand to be a non-starter.

i love Kikbax. My only complaint is that Iāve partially broken the panel that protects the electrical connections, because Iāve so often removed my doors and installed these, but thatās hardly Kikbaxās fault.I use these. Zero vibration, wont move when a truck passes or in high winds, easy to put on and take off. Simply slip them into the door hinges.

I bought them but found them suboptimal. I think my complaint (itās been a year now) was that I couldnāt trivially install or remove them, and since I frequently switch back and forth between soft doors and no doors that was a dealbreaker. The Mopar mirrors off door kit is the best by far. A little pricey, but the mirrors work great.
Yeah, they are pretty easy. On or off in about 10 minutes. 5 minutes if Iām in a hurry.I bought them but found them suboptimal. Am I misremembering how difficult they were to install? I think I gave up after a half hour of fussing with it.
