I just switched out the door nets right away. As soon as the "Unofficial Use Only" version came out, I purchased them. I like the factory look and installation wasn't too hard.

Had these and loved them for the price compared to other options, but my wife is pretty short. That's important because we discovered the hard way in an emergency when she went to drive and pull the seat all the way forward, she couldn't close the door due to the bump out portion.

Had to swap them out for the similar models that are flat molle panels
This type of rigid door pocket (and many of the center storage options, fwiw) cause similar problems for two door JLs. Sliding the seats forward is important, especially if you ever have passengers in the back!

Correct.
I looked at some of the metal ones but some people report clearance problems and discomfort when resting your left knee on them while driving.
These Overland Outfitters ones are not cheap, but are very well made. There is a couple of threads here somewhere that go in to details.
I saw another brand (JoyTutus maybe?) of fabric door pockets recently. Haven't tried them or seen in person, though. I'm guessing they are a much cheaper quality, but they were also considerably less expensive

That is a nice, factory look. Do the door panels actually have to be removed, or can the lower tabs be popped out and this thing slipped in behind it?

Edit: NVM. looks like a pain in the balls. I don't want to have to buy 2x of them and also do 2x the work. It does look like a great solution though.

Yeah, I hear ya. You do have to take the panel off and drill out the 16 plastic studs, then attach the new solid pocket.

Once I got started, it probably took me about 15 minutes per door. Taking the panel off the door is the hardest part.

I was a little hesitant, but took a deep breath and followed the video step by step. It turned out to be pretty simple. But I see what you mean about buying another set for the half doors.
