Does anyone have a particular brand of these for their JL they like?

I like the foldaway hook variety. It stores easier.

(Temporary steps that hook to door latch, not semi-permanent ones that use door hinge bolts.)

So I bought this one and recommend it:

It's large design not only provides a good step but the hook that grabs the door latch, being inset from the rubber bumper, allows it lay almost level in the JL, rather than angled down as other ones I've tried do whose hook rear is flush with the back of the step. Plus it folds for compact storage and can break windows in an emergency.

Any updates on this? I bought a similar one to try on the JLU and I found it unusable without damaging the jamb or it being unstable to the point of being useless.
I need a step to get up to my roof rack. I'm not a big fan of the hinge mounted units or a ladder. But I need something. Getting up and down from up there is dangerous and using the rear tire is sketchy too.
