I have been with my wife over 20 years and I have always had wranglers. She never cared much for them because she refused to learn to drive a manual. Our ‘21 is the first automatic I owned and last winter she got her mini stuck in the snow. I gave her the keys to the Jeep and she came home smiling because it was a beast in the snow. She said if we lived in a snowier climate we would have 2, haha

My girlfriend loves Jeeps. When I met her, she was driving a CJ-7 and I was driving a JKU.

She’s since moved on to more “practical” vehicles, but hates the idea of me ever driving anything but a Jeep. There was 7 months I was in a Tacoma TDR Pro, and that was acceptable, but no Jeep.

Now that I’m back in a JL, she’s been plotting to take it over saying, “don’t you just want to get a new one, and give this one to me so I’m safe driving in the snow?” Really knows how to push my buttons…

I suspect we have another JLR before the next model arrives (2027?).

My wife likes to ride in the Jeep, but doesn't like to drive it (which is fine by me). She does complain when I have the doors off, but I tell her she can drive herself in her car or ride with me with the doors off.

Upon getting the Wrangler my wife referred to both it and the GC as “The Jeep”. It took me months to get her to at least say “the Blue Jeep” when referring to the Wrangler so I don’t have to ask “What Jeep?”

I'm actually the one who really didn't care for Wranglers. So, we bought the 2022 JLUR XR w/SOT top as my wife's daily driver. We have a 2021 Tacoma Sport as our other vehicle. After a few weeks she started asking me if I wanted to drive the Jeep on Fridays, I said sure. She knows that unless it's raining, I will have the windows down and the SOT top open. Something that she won't do driving to work, as it can get chilly, and the wind messes up her hair. I don't mind the cold with heated seats and steering wheel, and just feel lucky at my age that my hair still blows in the wind.

This progressed, after a couple more weeks, to me driving it several times a week. To simplify the decisions process, I told her that whatever is in the driveway when I leave for work is what I'll drive. On more and more mornings the Taco was gone, and the Rubicon was left in the driveway. After about 3 months of ownership, it became rare that the Tacoma is in the driveway when I go to leave, so I mainly drive the Rubicon every day. When we are together at night or weekends, I drive, and we take the Rubicon. The Tacoma has been relegated to driving my wife to work and hauling debris to the dump. I sometimes feel sorry for it.

She loves the Rubicon but enjoys the grin on my face every time I drive it more. Now she jokes and says this is your Jeep and we will order another one next year to be hers. So now I just sit and wait to see what the 2024 JLUR XR brings for options and colors so I can place an order for my wife's Jeep.

I'm a lucky man.

Had my Jeep already when we started dating. Somewhere during these 12 years it became her Jeep and now I drive the beater Honda.

Yeah pretty much, but even I admit for a long road trip the Model Y is a much better choice. Hell who am I kidding didn't matter for far we are going of she is with me it's the Tesla.

I'm OK with that though as this was my toy plus the 2 door isn't great for the kids now that we took guardianship of our niece putting the total to 3 kids living at home.

Oh well I'll just go wheel by myself unloads one of the girls wants to come.

She tolerates my JLUR, but loves her JLU Altitude! She gets pissed when I drive hers without her. We've taken both on 500+ mile road trips.

Based on most of the comments around this forum. If the significant other hated Jeep they couldn’t own one. Most need permission from their other half to even consider a vehicle of any kind. Do the letters PW mean anything to you? ??
Hello it’s called whipped and scarred thank you.

My wife loves the Jeep. Prefers that I do all the driving but that goes for anything with wheels in our household. I had a 4xe which we towed behind the bus. It had electronic fits each time we unhooked it to use it. She suggested we get rid of the POS (It was only 4 months old!) and get a gas V6 with whatever option I wanted. Glad to say I have an awesome Rubicon XR and better yet an awesome bus. Oh, my wife is good too.
