Sometimes my driver seat will have a single "pop", when I get out of driver seat especially if I drag my weights across the seat to the door. The "pop" is almost like the spring (or something in the cushion) is groaning.

I am not a hefty guy so please no 300 lbs joke.

Well since the 300lbs is ruled out. I see a few other possibilities.

1. Trapped air between your ass cheeks being released as you drag them apart exiting your vehicle? You only ruled out weight so flatulance was left on the table. Solution is see doctor or cut back on dairy.

2. You have a bad spring, or maybe it’s just misaligned. Solution is see dealer.

While I failed to mention I am actually a vegan, so flatulence is not my issue.

It seems as I drag my ass cross the driver seat, the weight shift caused the ridge to "groan", tiny ping but noticeable sometimes.

Yep, mine does as I turn to hop down. I kinda slide to the ground as I'm exiting. The joys of being short
