I changed the diff oil today on a new to us 2018 JLU with 75,000 miles. The build sheet says it should have an M220 Dana44 with LSD. This looks like a reg open diff to me unless there is a clutch pack on the left side?

Clutch packs can be hard to see but the shape of the carrier looks like a limited slip to me.

On the right hand side of the opening in this picture you can see the metal clip sticking out right by the spider gear. That's one of the parts dealing with the clutch pack.

This looks like my LSD at first glance. I can grab photos when I do my diagnosis and rebuild if you like.

Yes , That’s a traction lock (LSD) You can see the clutch pack on the right side. The side gear goes into it.

Thank you for confirming. My only experience with LSD is TrueTrac which looks completely different.
