Hi,

while checking on the location of where my starter is, I noticed this. Please see picture for reference. Seems as though something is missing here? Looks like a nut that could be screw onto here?

Any help is appreciated.

If you look at the painted threads closely, you should be able to tell whether or not something has ever been screwed onto it.

I don't know what that stud is for, but it's entirely possible it's just there for certain other models, or options that yours didn't come with.

It's a little hard to tell from your photo, but to me that doesn't really look like anything was ever screwed onto it.

if it ain't broke - don't fix it - that is for an accessory you don't have - otherwise I am sure you would notice a missing component - keep Jeepin

I'm often occupied, by many things, often at the same time
I checked a parts manual and schematic. Looks like it's part of the medula oblongata.
