I tried searching for this but didn’t find the answer. I am looking at the 2”Mopar lift for my JLUR and want to install it myself. My understanding is that going with the mopar lift will retain the factory warranty but is that only if installed by dealer? I want to put the lift on myself and hopefully keep my Jeep under warranty. Any thoughts on this? Thanks

if you install yourself the lift parts themselves are covered under warranty. heres the issue which i recently experienced. only a dealer can warranty out a part. in order for them to do so they have to take in in and open a ticket for it. who do you think they are going to try and bill for that labor?

as you have probably seen there is a major issue with the mopar coil springs. i would wait for a better lift personally. any other company if you have a problem and send them pics etc will send you a new part. doesnt work that way with mopar.

your jeep warranty is not affected either way.

The 2" Mopar for the JL/JLU that Mopar has right now, is flawed. Most that have done the install are having a bowing spring related issue with the lift.

I suggest you search out and read all the threads on this forum in regard to this lift.

Perhaps in a month or so Mopar will find a remedy for the issue with their 2" lift but til then I suggest that no way in hell you consider putting that lift on your JLU. I do suggest you wait a couple of months for aftermarket lift options.

I might mention that any guy/gal on this forum that has installed this lift that tells you it is "awesome", speaks positively about it, states it is not flawed, ... and that it is aok to buy/install right now, is in pure denial.

Thanks for the advice. I am now leaning on putting a winch on and waiting for more vendors to make lifts without issues.
