1) Nobody has had an over-temp warning come on.
2) Nobody has read the manual to know what the max temp is.

Sounds like a reason for a recall to me!

Between this and the endless DPF worries I have to wonder why you all bought vehicles that have you so concerned?
Please tell me what page in the manual I can find the parameters for the engine coolant. I brought the manual with me to work today to look it up but no luck ... also asked the same question to Jeep and was informed that I should inquire with the dealership.

Funny how JEEPCARES has been silent on this thread...as they frequently pop up from time to time around here.

Not sure I'd want to hear "Please see your dealer"...none of whom have ever instilled much confidence. They are NOT a real technical resource...

I would just like to know what the safe operating temperatures are for the coolant. What good is it to have the temperature display is if you don’t know what the temperature is supposed to be. Might as well replace the the gauge with one that says contact the dealership.

But...But...Tex, aren't you the one that said to just up the octane rating??

Sorry, just being a smart a$$. Around here I'm beginning to see no one is an expert but everyone has an opinion, and take no prisoners.

All of my temps seem high to me; however, they aren’t registering as high on the Jeep gauges.
My duramax usually stays around 210 degrees even when hauling and the Jeep is empty.

Almost 250 degrees? Either that gauge is malfunctioning or something because that thing isn’t going to last long running at almost 250 degrees. Lol I’m thinking the 2022’s won’t be running that hot.

The kicker is, look at his analog gauge on the left...still below half way (normal?).

I looked at mine as it was warming up, running down the road and when the analog was at the SAME position, the digital read 176°f...a bit later, the digital read 205°f and guess what...the analog was precisely in the same spot.

Hmmmmm, something is fishy here. What gauge are we to believe? One of us needs to get out there and take some actual and reliable temperature data on this motor. As far as we know, NEITHER gauge may be correct.

I’m thinking the one that says 248 is incorrect.
