There is no turbo temp in JL 2022 3.0 manual. Only the recommendation for idle time after certain activities that most of us have already read.

As I said earlier what is the point when there is no indicator for temp.

So reading the manual theory is incorrect.
Agree with ya. Highly doubt the owners manual says 1500° when there isn’t a pre-turbo EGT temp displayed on the dash anywhere. Wow, talk about misinformation.

One thing I forgot to add in my previous response is if you think diesel EGTs get hot, you should see turbocharged gasoline EGTs. Since gasoline engines are less efficient than diesels, more heat is wasted out the exhaust meaning their EGTs are much hotter. The flip side is that combustion temps in diesels is much hotter since they are more efficient at turning fuel into mechanical energy.

In my old Ecoboost F150, just idling the EGTs would be around 750F and doing 60 mph down the road on flat land was around 1,150F. Flooring it, they would quickly climb to over 1,500F. So if you are worrying about your turbo at 1,200F, I would stop worrying.
