My dealer just called and said our JL Sport S is in the country and will be ready for delivery in the next 2 weeks. Apparently this shipment only had sport/overlander. Have you guys heard anything?

I was wondering this myself... Sucks to hear its only sport and overlanders... I mean thats awesome if thats what you have ordered but where are the rubicons =/

I'll be calling my dealership tomorrow to see if we have any word on Rubicons... It is kind of annoying not knowing any rough date

I was wondering when the sports and overlands would arrive. I got an update from my dealer two weeks ago and my rubicon was scheduled in for production. I ordered before the first cut-off date too. Rubicons are stated for July delivery, but who knows, hopefully we might get uber lucky at they will arrive in June..

Don’t forget to upload some photos!

Out of curiosity did you order a stock Sport S? Or any custom item/package?

Jeep Wrangler JLU Overland 2019
Hi All,

I took delivery of mine last Friday afternoon. JLU Overland in Granite Crystal, with a Jan 19 build date. I purchased through Central Coast Jeep in NSW. The jeep is fantastic, I could not be happier with it. This is my first Jeep.

It has been a long 18 month wait since these things started being build for the US market, but so worth it. Keep the faith, everyone's orders will be here soon (hopefully).

Cheers,
Mick

In addition to the standard S group, I added some parking sensors and a leather upgrade. It look like the S group added some bonnet scoops which makes it look more like a Rubicon.

2019 JLU Mojito Rubicon
Hey All,

So i called my jeep dealership yesterday (Monday) and I feel sorry for anyone who ordered a Rubicon from my dealership.. Apparently out of all the Rubicon orders placed at my dealership, my Rubicon is the only one with an assigned Build date (Scheduled to start being built next week) with all the rest still waiting in Limbo a little longer.

We are not sure why this is.. Might be due to the specific colour / options ive chosen.. no idea.. But my dealership was saying the others shouldnt be to far behind.

Obviously Rubicons were delayed because of ADR issues with the steel front bar not covering the gap to the fenders for those that didnt know. This has apparently been solved now (I did hear there was a shortage of steel bars causing delay, though I was told yesterday it was because of ADR reasons and they had to redesign the bar for Aussie roads, I'll assume just different end bits)

Now heres hoping that I can get my Rubicon Mid July or so as that would be fantastic.

Anyone else waiting for their Rubicons, might pay to give your dealership a call to see if you have been assigned a build date yet as i was told rough time frames would be something like

9 days being built > 1-3 weeks waiting to be loaded on a boat > 3 weeks transit (Weather Pending) > 2 weeks customs and delivery

These are rough time frames i was told but at least gives you a basic idea of build to delivery.

Thanks for the post Jaydee_S, some good info there. Could you post a pic when it does arrive. I'm still waiting to see what the Oz spec Rubi is before I commit. Would like to test drive one when they're available at the dealer, but at this rate it'll be 2020 before I'd take delivery.....I'm sure you'll enjoy your Rubicon when it arrives! Got to love our ADR, you can buy a 79 series Landcrusier with a factory steel winch bar, but Jeep have to alter the steel bumper, go figure?

I believe the change they had to make was just cover the gap between the front bar and the front fenders as there is a huge hole there..

I have a feeling im going to look to change the front bar anyway.. I just hope they didnt have to alter the entire front bar to be super long like the overland / sport models..

I know it isn't a massive deal in the big scheme of things. But it makes me just a little sad that we won't get that gap. I like that gap. I hope we can still turn them into stubbies for off roading. I will be super sad if they make it one piece and we lose that bit of functionality.
