Well i had any appointment yesterday to get steering gear box replaced and drives side door rattle fixed. Well appointment was at 0930 got it in right away etc etc. Looked at some very select inventory, sat down for a bit then stepped out to have a smoke and there sat my Jeep. Cool its done its 12 so seems about right time wise. Go to service desk and it begins. We have to order parts and schedule your appointment. WTF!!! Why did you set up this appointment to do the work? Well um oh we needing to verify the issue B.S. you think the customer is dumb even when i brought in the TSB. Anyways next Tuesday its gets done so i sat at dealership for 3 hours to have a broken piece of foam removed from door to stop the rattling it had oh and they said they are not going to charge me for the steering gear repair. You think.. I was very irritated to say the least.

So your dealership sucks, I have a dealership that I use and have had good service and in a timely manor for the past 20 plus years, can't really address your problem.

You’re upset that they looked at your vehicle within 3 hours and scheduled you a repair at no charge? You can go now.

I've lived that exact scenario. Like you I cannot understand the obvious unnecessary inconveniences these dealerships inflict on their customers.

In my opinion dealerships as a whole are lackluster. If anyone reading this thinks that's inaccurate certainty hasn't owned many new cars over a longer time frame.

Their go to M.O. is to deny there is an issue and even when it's been identified they have too many hurdles built into the path to the solution that's bordering on insanity.

So, if someone is pleased with their experiences with dealerships, you are microscopic in comparison of those that are not.

To add insult to injury, 2021 is turning out to be a banner year for dealers. Dealers across all manufacturers are posting record profits all over the country.

Ironically, the more money they make, the less interested they seem in providing competent service.

And don’t forget the bailout money they’ll receive when business wanes. Can’t lose formula for the industry.
