Anyone know if it’s protocol for a jeep dealership to raise a 2 door jeep on lower control arm mounts??

Sorry if I’m wrong and sorry for this rant. But I feel like I should not have had such a difficult time at the jeep dealership today.

normally I’m a DIY guy. But while my newest 2-door has 3 free oil changes and rotations, I took advantage and decided to let them do it.

a short while after I dropped it off, the advisor came back and told me the tech decided to not do the rotation cause he felt unsafe. didn’t feel comfortable lifting my jeep due to the geometry correcting brackets from my AEV lift. He stated the jeep was sliding. This left me a bit confused and concerned. I know 2 door JLs are generally harder to lift on jack stands, but I got it done in my driveway when I installed my lift and all the times I’ve done rotations on my previous 2 doors.

so he came back and forth a few times after asking the tech questions because he wouldn’t let me speak with the tech directly. But he brought back an iPad with photos of the Jeep raised up from the front lower control arm mounts. When I questioned it , he said that was the factory way of lifting it. . This led me to asking how they would do suspension work on a two door ? After that, they went ahead and do the rotation. Which made me wonder if they could really be that lazy and try to get out of warranty/uncharged work? I’m grateful they got it done. But it was still unpleasant having to debate just for the job to get done.

I would love some feedback. Are they right ? Cause if they are, it’s fine. I honestly prefer doing my own rotations, but I’m not convinced that the control arm mounts are a safe place to jack.
