Hey Kids!

I’ve got a gorgeous earl grey 2-door Rubi -X with an extremely annoying alignment problem. When I got it back in August 2025, things were ok. I noticed a change after hitting some uneven pavement on a highway in September. Something happened with the wheel sensor (abs kicked was triggered even though I didn’t hit the brakes). Since then, the jeep clocks to the left about 5-10 degrees at all speeds and on all surfaces. I need to religiously correct it by hand. Brought it to one dealer who did two alignments, and ultimately a second that documented the annoyance, but also said the alignment was/is perfect.

Anyone have any thoughts on next steps to correct this?

thanks!

The math is either there, or it is not. If the math shows everything is green, then there is a joint problem or a tire PSI issue or a brake caliper locking up.

Yeah, I think you’re right that the alignment math is correct. I’m going to caliper (measure) the rotors to see where they stand. If they’re nominal and equal, that leaves your joint issue. Where would you start to diagnose an issue of this type?

thanks!

Drive around for 10 minutes, stop and jump out. Touch each hub. Any feel hot? If not, not a caliper issue. What year did you buy it, since it is not AUG 2025 yet? How many miles on it?

Good low-tech approach w/ the hub check! Thanks for the guidance - I’ll try that tonight. It’s a ‘24 Rubicon X purchased in August ‘24. 8,000 mi or so. Was not an immediate issue until October/November
