Dealers refusing to do TSB?

I am hoping the group may shed some light on this. It has been my thought that TSB are there for the dealer to use based on issues a customer is having...not based on VIN Numbers. Is this correct? I have so many issues that could be solved through the issued TSB. However because the dealer I used did not find any TSB on their computer when my VIN was pulled up they didn't do any of them stating it would have shown up in their computer.

I was wondering if anyone else is having similar issues with their dealers or did I just find the wrong person/dealer?

I believe you can look at the TSB and see what vehicles it applies to.

TSBs often apply to specific vehicles (date ranges.... I.e. VINs). Sometimes they apply to ā€œallā€. I believe that this is true for all car manufacturers ..... I was certainly true for my Toyota, Audi, and Acura.

If your vehicle is not in the ā€œdate rangeā€ for the TSB, can you help us understand why you believe that they issues you are having will be solved by the TSB?

Regardless of if there is a TSB for the issue youā€™re experiencing or not, contact @JeepCares if you donā€™t feel like your dealershipā€™s service department is taking care of you.

A little background....I took delivery on my JLUR in March 2018.
So there are a number of things that need to get done...but here are just a few
TSB 080942 - for all 2018 Wranglers
TSB 09-012-18 All JLs built before May 2018
23-040-18 - All JLs built between 9/1/2017 and 9/1/2018
24-006-19 All JL models 2018 and 2019

The ilst goes on but even though I can show the dealer the vehicle has a problem and that I fall within the parameters...they are refusing to fix it.

The dealership I bought my Wrangler from refused to perform TSB for my steering issue. They told me the TSB wouldn't fix my issue and sent me on my way.

Are you experiencing the issues those TSBs address?

I had this TSB refusal by Vin issue ; read the actual TSB, and it likely states , " if the customer has a complaint, do the TSB, regardless of Vin #.." Mine was for the 2 Dr seat track issue..

The dealers put the vin into service website(dealerconnect), then do a search for the concern and if no TSB shows up it doesnt apply to vehicle and they would have to actually try to fix it. They can also search by TSB #, if it doesnt apply to vehicle it states that. Jeep won't pay them to do a TSB just because customer says to or if you have similar concerns. They would have to get approval from FCA or their rep
