2022 Eco-Diesel seems to have a dead spot on throttle response when I make a tight (like at an intersection) right hand turn at speed. I put my foot in it and no real response until I'm mostly through the turn...reminds me of a carbureted vehicle with a bad accelerator pump.
I don't notice it on left hand turns.

Chances are the trans had not downshifted yet. I’ve noticed that if I make a quick turn

The dead pedal is actually there turning both ways. But you typically don’t make as sharp of left turns in an intersection. It is in the programming that causes this, because if you quickly straighten out the steering wheel, the motor wakes up and goes. I’ve noticed it numerous times and it doesn’t happen as bad every time, so that’s kinda weird. Good ‘ole torque management in the ECU.

This sure makes sense as this is what I experience. I was wondering if Mr. Murphy was once again over engineering shit as a safety feature for heavy footed inexperienced drivers to save them from rolling their ride.
That bastard Murphy...I hate him.

The only “torque management” should be your right foot!! Diesels are torque monsters, Uh, were, before neutered by nannies for “safety, mpg, and emissions” ! ?

Since it’s in sharp turns turning off stability control might help too ??‍♂
This too. You cant just push the button. You have to hold it for several seconds.

Yep - 5 sec, but I haven’t tried it without off road + so I don’t know if it works without. ??‍♂ worth a try. Edit- I’m in OR+ most of the time, it’s more fun.?

Pretty sure that the steering angle in lower gears is taken into consideration by the PCM. It's one of the things that gets addressed by the GDE tune because it downshifts as you decelerate to get you in a lower gear as you enter a slow turn. Also, the computer on stock trim limits the torque in lower gears so you don't spin the tires. GDE changes that in their tune.

Is GDE tune part of that EPA wich hunt similar to what just happened in Michigan or is it something else.

Not now, they got the EPA visit a few years ago and complied. Their current tunes are EPA compliant, no deletes needed.
