So, not my first time removing decals, but this time I took notes and compared 3 products.
Blow dryer to remove the decals; my heat gun gets too hot. This job was on a 2026 Rubi on the road for 6 months.
Goo gone useless
3m remover is average
99% Isopropyl is less than average
Goof Off works the best, but it's probably the harshest on the paint.
Let the product sit on the residue for 3 to 5 minutes.
Rub off with Microfiber
Don't use plastic scrapers or metal blades, obviously.
After removal, clean with isopropyl and water.
Then bring the luster back with a finishing glaze and microfiber. If you scratched it, use a swirl remover with microfiber.
Then seal it with some wax.
