doesn't include knuckles, hubs, brakes. would your existing upgrades fit? i'm guessing not, but really don't know
The knuckles would be fine. I know someone who upgraded to D44 and kept their old brakes. Hubs I guess would depend if if I damaged them. Not exactly sure what is bent beyond the axle.

Would also need a new tierod. I can re-use my current drag link.

Jen if it’s the narrow axle you need I have a factory d44 drag link and tie rod sitting in the garage in case you need them. Just let me know and I’ll clean them up for you.

Thanks. I still have my narrow stock sport tie rod/drag link in my pile of Jeep parts under the house. If I don’t find a narrow JT axle I think I’d just buy the wider Rubi CavFab tierod tube to replace the narrow one I have now. They will sell me just the tube and I can reuse the ends.

she would need to regear which would add another $1500-2k

does the arb locker work on rubi axles as well or are they axle specific?
Locker is a axle specific. Just posting someone selling a decent take offs. JT narrow Dana 44 front is $3-4k off car-parts.com which makes $5k axle set not such a bad deal.

I would guess since both of your toe readings were off, it is the axle itself and not both hub assemblies.

Another set of brand new take offs popped up on Facebook. Let me know when you get your M186 out, I am interested in the arb/axle shafts.

What is that on top of the rear axle? Was thinking maybe it was for a gladiator, but they all had 4 holes on top, and that only has 2 and they seem much higher than a gladiators.

someone had a narrow D44 off a JT for $1k locally. But then she’d still need to add a new locker and gears. So maybe $2500-3k.

the thing is, her having a manual she needs 4.88s at least, so that has to be done or already come on the axles. And then a new locker for the front since the d30 is different locker. And transfer her ball joints and knuckles over. Stuff she paid a shop to do.

i think those steel knuckles contributed to the axle’s demise. Plus heavy wheels and tires.

i have an m186 up front with a locker. I have very lightweight wheels and light tires, and still on the aluminum knuckles. I have wheeled my jeep since 2018 and am cautious with what i do but i havent had an issues yet. I think all the excess weight killed that axle.

People bend front D44s too. I know people that run xr wheels and 37s on stock D30s, and those xr wheels are heavy, over 40 lbs. My factory xr wheel/tire combo was 110 lbs, 317/70/17 ko2s are around ~65 lbs leaving ~45 lbs for xr wheels.

Weight makes a difference, but ultimately it is the situation and sometimes shit happens ... it just seems to happen to @SadRobot a lot. :(
