30 degrees, can be some bend steering linkage, just saying.It's something with the axle. Maybe the tube, maybe the C.
As for why it bent most likely strain on the D30 from heavy 37" tires. With upgraded steering, knuckles and balljoints the axle is the weak point that is going to take on the extra stress in a hit. My Jeep gets wheeled pretty hard and last week was the final straw. The left driver side took so much weight that it must have bent so much to cause my steering wheel to go off center by 30 degrees. So yeah, this axle is done - not worth fixing and not worth wheeling with it any more and risk wearing out ball joints, fighting the passenger pull OR creating more uneven wear on the tires.
There's a reason everyone says to not put 37s on a D30 and then drive it over boulders.![]()
I guess you are of the philosophy, if it break I will upgrade
