This creaking has been happening as long as I can remember, I just started to drive the vehicle more and decided its bothering me.

Has anyone solved this one?

Try conditioning the rubber seals on the tailgate and rear glass. I use 303 Protectant on mine. Lasts for a few months before the squeak comes back.

Sounds like tailgate rattle. May need to freshen up the seals like @renegadecaderyn suggested, or just need to adjust the latch mechanism.

For my tailgate rattle I did a foam strip across the lip, and shin etsu grease on the seals.

appreciate the responses.... i greased up the things and its still the same so i put my gopro on the back passenger door facing the tire and you can hear it better i think. The sound is most pronounced when under initial acceleration and going over larger humps. i tried to take out all the superfluous video...

Try a piece of foam tape. I’ll grab a photo of how I did it, can even see where paint was rubbed off before.

Sounds like a spring or something suspension related creaking to me.

Take a drive with the rear glass up.

This is where mine was creaking, top right you can see the where the paint was being rubbed off. I ran it along the entire tailgate.

And applied the grease on the “wings” of the glass

So I removed the hardtop and the tailgate completely to make sure they werent the issue. I also mounted a camera underneath to look at the suspension and see if the motion of that coincided with the creaking and it doesnt appear to. You can see the suspension move quite a bit with virtually no creaking and move very little and hear it.

It almost sounds like it may have something to do with the parking brake somehow but i cant for the life of me figure out why. You can hear at the very beginning of the video the sound of me disengaging the parking brake before i back up to head out.

Might want to hit every rubber bushing you can see with some silicone spray and see if that makes a difference.
It’s not unheard of (lol) for stock bushings to start getting creaky.

Yeah it’s completely stock.

That’s a good call i’ll grease up all the bushings i can get to and see what that does.

Make sure to get the sway bar bushings. I'm pretty sure thats what it is. Follow up if this fixes it. ?

The exhaust mounts are also rubber. My Mustangs would make a similar sound. But definitely sounds like rubber. I'm going to go with a bushing.
