My third windshield cracked tonight. This is just ridiculous. Luckily I have the windshield protection....lol

Question for all of you who have had your windshield replaced. Did you have any excessive wind noise with the glass that came with it from the factory? After they replaced the windshield, did you notice it get any quieter? Just curious if some shipped with a bad seal when they set the windshield? Ours seems a bit loud vs how our JK was. Wondering if when they replace the windshield and put new glue down if that made it more quiet? Can anyone answer me this please for those who have had it swapped out?

The dealer said they would replace??? Tell me more. Mine broke in the 1st week, we paid for the extra insurance offered and was told it can't be repaired. Safelite said $889 and we don't have the "acoustic".

The gentleman over the phone said one thing and the service advisor in person, this morning said NO. That’s not the only problem I ran into, there isn’t even another windshield for me to get, at this time, said the dealer. They gave me an eta of “around June.”

Although, JeepCares, on here reached out to me regarding this and I’ve also given her my information and details for some additional assistance regarding this matter.

I'm stuck playing the waiting game with my Rubicon, and the Acoustic glass too. I've had 2 cracks now, and my insurance said that it can take 4-6 weeks since they can't get any in stock from the dealer. @JeepCares. What can I do here? It's now illegal for me to drive around like this, but there are 0 in-stock ( since they are all going to the new builds)

I came into the forums to see if anyone had issues with cracked windshields and stumbled upon the Cracked Windshield Club. It appears to be quite popular. haha! Well, count me in. I've had my JL for a month and 1/2 and have a little less than 1K miles on it. I am not sure where the crack came from because it wasn't there before I got to the gym but it was definitely there when I came back out. There are no rock pings and no dents on the roof near the glass. The crack is smooth and about 8' long. There doesn't appear to be a reasonable explanation. Needless to say, I'm not a happy camper.

Well 3000 miles in and I have a cracked windshield too. Stoped by the dealership and they said that it’s an impact crack and that I’m SOL with any help from them. There is the tiniest of a mark that is in about the middle of the crack that you can not see by the neaked eye but you can feel it with a pen. My problem with this is that chip is that type of chip that every window on the road has at least 100 of with out causing a cracked windshield. Mopar is really using some crappy glass with the JL if this is all it takes to crack the windshield. @JeepCares, 3000 miles on a 50+k rubicon and the dealership has the empathy and compassion of a call center in India. If this is the quality of glass your planning on using you might put a window program on your Jeep Wave membership.

you only get acoustic glass if you got the Premium sound system - correct? Or do ALL JLs come with Acoustic?

We should have a test conducted on the windshield glass and if deemed inferior, a class action lawsuit should be in order.

I’ve never had a Jeep before. Considering a Rubicon with the redesign. This thread is crazy! Never seen anything like it. Something is up with the glass!

Which is scary since I eat rocks on my commute.
