CMM Mirrors Top or Bottom?

Anyone have full Jeep pics of your mirrors mounted in either location? Put mine up high but they seem kinda goofy up there.

Yes, I believe so. The website was a bit confusing when I ordered these, because they talk about both mounting positions and at the time I at first thought you had to choose before ordering. But there is only one way to order them. I mounted them low, but pretty sure you just swap sides to make them work whichever way you want.

Do you feel like the top is less “in the way” when getting in and out?

i'm 6.3 ft so yes, top is a must for me. here is a shot from the other side..

I am 6 foot 1 and didn’t notice any issues getting in and out with the lower mount, but I haven’t used them much. I also have the ball mount being used to hold a radio, so the upper mount won’t work for that for me. I kind of like the look of the upper mount though …

Well I’m 5’10” so my head doesn’t meet the upper height requirement.?
Then again I ghost ride my Jeep a lot so mirrors aren’t necessary

Down low is more natural feeling, since they'll be roughly where your muscle memory naturally wants to look. But up high keeps them more out of the way, frees up the bottom part of the grab handle for other accessories you might want to put there (for example I have a camera monitor mounted there).

Also if you have the folding version of the CMM mirrors, you have to mount them at the top if you want to be able to close your doors without the glass hitting the mirror arm.

Sorry I only have photos of the mirrors folded in lol, haven't had a chance to go doors-off yet. You already know what they look like up high anyways

I preferred mine in the lower position.

And yes you have to swap the driver and passenger brackets.

I have the imitation ones off Etsy. I thought mounting higher blocked some cross traffic view. Hopefully they can be swapped and flipped like these 3D printed ones. Try both spots and pick what you like.
