Rear glass bottom trim retainer

Good morning! My daughter has a 19 JLU, and since the summer we have always noticed it was wet in the most rear compartment where the jack is stored. Yesterday as I was getting something out of the back for her, I noticed it wet again, and a crack on the left side of the plastic trim at the bottom of the rear glass.

I'm guessing it was there a while, and the source of the leak, and I just never noticed it before. Is that common? Is it worth letting the dealer fix it, or just fix it myself?

That rear glass is all one piece, and it's very expensive, $1,000+, so whatever you do be careful.
